HAWA HAIR & BEAUTY: THE JOURNEY-
Hair has always been an obsession for me as a kid growing up I remember my aunt
use to sit me down for hours to braid my hair it was dignifying. Occasionally I would
keep my braids for weeks wanted to avoid taking them off, when I became older it
felt different, I had an idea for change. I would request my aunt to do my hair
weekly because I wanted to have the most trending hairstyles, but it was expensive,
and my aunt couldn’t keep up with my needs for fresh hair, so she told me (I had to
pay her), this was the turning point for me.
I realize that I couldn’t afford to pay my aunt. Thus I couldn’t keep up with having a
hair change weekly. Therefore,I decided to browse the internet, that was when I
came across a YouTube tutorial on how to braid, styles, and handle wigs. Not only
that, but I was very interested and started using it to practice and gradually became
better.
Eventually, when I started styling my hair some of my friends were asking where I
did my hairstyle. I would smile (cheekily)and told them if they wanted similar
hairstyles I would do it for them. That was how the journey began, from few friends
coming over till I opened my hair studio with huge customer base. When customers
are around they would always ask if I had wigs or hair products for sale, most times
they will request a sample, sadly I would always decline as I didn’t have the
products for them to buy. It was then I decided to open my website where I could
sell my products that are of good quality and accessible for everyone.
